Global Business Capabilities

London Business School graduates enjoy a competitive advantage which is already being recognised by recruiters. More of our graduates than ever before are landing compelling jobs thanks to a doubling of our investment in Career Services. Employment offers within three months of graduation on the MBA programme remained high in 2006 at 97%. View how our programmes can impact your career.

The School has been working to better understand what business leaders identify as the capabilities needed for success in today's business world. Take a look at the global business capabilities article from the Winter 2004 issue of Business Strategy Review, the School's well respected research publication.

Our research has shown that in addition to technical knowledge, employers are looking for highly developed personal skills and attributes in those they recruit. These global business capabilities will ensure our graduates are highly sought after as global business leaders.

Through a series of interviews with senior figures in global business, building global business capabilities is being woven into the core curricula of our Masters programmes. For example, the new Global Leadership Development Programme has been introduced to further facilitate the development of the skills required by successful global business leaders.

Hand in hand with these initiatives is the new Global Leadership Assessment for Managers (GLAM), launched to facilitate study group interaction and provide a basis for career mobility. A series of diagnostic tools to help students analyse their 'cultural intelligence', GLAM seeks to help students identify the key interpersonal and teamworking skills needed for successful global business management.
